Words About Katie

After stints as a seamstress, an adjunct professor, a photographer's assistant (a.k.a. The Muscle), an ascot-clad parlor car attendant on a steam train, and a televised cat-hair crafter, I work mostly in graphic design and art direction nowadays. I believe in taking every opportunity, no matter how silly, to expand the base of experience from which I derive my creative powers. Approaching my work with warmth, humor and curiosity keeps me excited to create the best, most inspired solution to every assignment.

I hold an MFA in graphic & interactive design from Tyler School of Art and have several years' experience in publishing, branding and ecommerce. I'm a bit of a grammar nerd and can edit your copy in a pinch. I draw, but not well—although, turns out some people are into that sort of thing. I enjoy crafting things by hand and will happily take up a new process or technique if a project calls for it.

When I'm not working, I'm either outdoors, experimenting in the kitchen, or staring at my cat. I make a mean burger (grind it fresh and pack it loose!) and a stiff drink (step one: dump in whiskey; step two: don't overthink it). If you want to know more, feel free to lurk via Instagram below. But enough about me—
